The Art of Draped Luxury
Renowned Event Designs worked with planner Sarah Oakland to bring a refined and immersive wedding vision to life. The goal was to transform an outdoor setting into an upscale estate experience layered with texture, light, and romance.
Sarah Oakland envisioned a sophisticated estate-style wedding filled with flowing drapery and intimate lighting, something luxurious yet inviting.
The challenge
The client wanted ceremony draping that appeared to float effortlessly in midair, creating a dreamy and almost surreal focal point. Renowned Event Designs got to work.
Solution:
RED’s team engineered custom rigging points that allowed the draping to suspend seamlessly, giving the illusion of weightlessness. The result was a soft, cascading installation that elevated the ceremony space without visible structure. To complement this structure, The Florista added lush, organic floral arrangements that intertwined beautifully with the drapery, enhancing the romantic atmosphere.
The challenge
The reception space began as a completely empty tent in an open field, no inherent structure or aesthetic foundation to build upon.
Solution:
RED’s Team fully reimagined the space by enveloping it in taupe draping from floor to ceiling. Every visible surface was softened and refined, creating a cohesive environment.
To add depth and personalization, we designed custom wall treatments inspired by the swans incorporated throughout the event. These elements added a layer of storytelling and visual continuity.
Lighting played a central role in achieving the intimate ambiance. We installed soft, layered lighting across the space and introduced a custom 10-foot candle wax chandelier as the main focal point. These statement pieces cast a warm, romantic glow that defined the entire reception experience.
What began as an empty field evolved into a fully transformed wedding environment. Through thoughtful design, custom fabrication, and attention to detail, the space felt both grand and intimate all while perfectly reflecting the client’s vision.
